The game

The game

A co-op survival RPG on planets that feel real. Worlds, loot, foes and people are generated, and you grow wide across many skills. In development.

The loop

Go out. Come home. Hold the haven.

Play with friends: one of you hosts, and you face the world together. Each turn of the loop takes you further from your beacons, where foes are stronger.

  • Go out: fight, gather, hunt, fish, dig
  • Bring it home: bags into Storage
  • Grow the haven: build, house, assign
  • Hold it: bigger havens, bigger attacks

The haven

A colony at its heart

A beacon claims the ground. Build rooms, and people come to seek refuge and join your haven. Give each a role, and they go out and work: a hunter hunts and brings it home to Storage.

  • Prefab rooms: home, hall, infirmary, forge, trade post
  • Four stages, each a build checklist
  • 15 trades, one shared Storage
  • Anyone can be a soldier, in squads of five

Combat

Weapons and declarations

Fight with a weapon and with declarations: symbols slotted on the hotbar, their order making the effect. Fire, then water, is steam.

  • Ten elements in five opposed pairs
  • Two together fuse: steam, frost, lightning
  • A form sets the shape, a weave changes it
  • Swords and bows to rifles and shields

Simulation

A world that behaves

Day turns to night and weather moves. The ground is voxel, so you can dig it.

  • Hunger and thirst wear you down
  • Your people need food, water, a bed, prayer and company
  • Armies of thousands, each soldier fought directly

Worlds

Worlds from a seed

One generated solar system: ten planets and a moon, each a ball of ground you walk round, dig into and fly off. Missions send you to generated planets of their own.

  • Ten seeded planets and a moon
  • Generated missions and strongholds
  • Caves, overhangs and arches

Items and people

Loot and people from seeds

Gear stats are rolled, with two or three affixes a piece. The people who join your haven are generated, each with two traits.

  • Stats roll on a curve, and a lucky roll lands past the range
  • Rarity runs from common to blessed legendary
  • Far out, foes carry traits

Online

A server that keeps your gear

A thin server keeps your account, your haven and the items you own, and it rolls the stats on your gear.

  • The server rolls your gear's stats
  • The server holds your items
  • Run and skill XP are checked against a ceiling

Progression

Grow wide

Every skill rises with use, and its milestones reward you. Your look is yours to change.

  • 31 skills, from each element to prayer
  • Level cap 60
  • Wardrobe and dyes
